Last week, I have another heart attack (not really a physical heart attack) from my PC. I remember that was Sunday night after I finished the phone chat with Gobala. While I was sending out an email to him, the PC halted and did not responding. I though it was normal system halt and I would normally press the switch on/off button to restart (My PC always give me problem of restarting without giving any notice, I don’t know why).

However, this time a bit abnormal which my Windows start with scan disk and later restart the PC again, this time, it doesn’t show the normal login page, the screen show totally black out. I restart few times, also the can’t help to improve the situation.

He explained to me my HDD is old enough (which is about 2-3 years) and it’s about time up and the data has erased. Well, I have once experience before early this year, I didn’t mention anything much and I told him I will fix the problem myself. I learnt from this experience is never “assume” that the lifespan of HDD is long, always backup your data info CD/DVD format as you will never know when your HDD is down because of aging.
