I was reading at EasyWordpress on the in depth tutorial on how to customise the search page. I decided to try it out after I read it. Basically the idea of this customisation is to retain visitors in my blog rather than guide them to another [tag]google search[/tag] page outsite this website. You don’t want to let your visitors out of your website after they use the search function in your blog, do you?

Wordpress blog system is very much optimise for SEO, with the tools like technorati tag, build in ping system and keyword targetted title features, you can get the blog post indexed by search engine very much easier and faster compare to normal website. Therefore, google search feature is working well for wordpress blog, since it will return a number of result either search within the site or web. Seem like the result is quite satisfactorily. I have my own customer search result page now. My blog visitors will be easy to find the link back to the main blog easily now, instead of using the back button.
