Fans of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers look to the 09′ season with not much hope for anything good to happen.

The Bucs best season since winning the Super Bowl came in 05′ when they finished 11-5 but lost to the Washington Redskins in the first round. Tampa Bays offense in 09′ is abysmal scoring barely- points per game.

Former head coach Jon Gruden is now broadcasting for Monday Night Football - he doesn’t have to deal with the Bucs team anymore. He’s probably pretty happy about this though.

The defense didn’t change much. They’re one of the worst units in the league and they should have spent a bit more on balancing out the squad, not just improving the offense.

RB Cadillac Williams was a rising star in the NFL a few seasons ago. In 05′ Williams ran for over 1,100 yards in– games but injuries have put his progression as a RB on hold. 07′ - 08′ Williams only played in 10 games, scored 7 touchdowns and rushed for 441 yards.

Things didn’t exactly work out this way for the Bucs. The Cowboys jumped out to an early lead and never really looked back, taking the game by a score of 34-21.

The Bucs play in the NFC South, which has a different winner every year. The Bucs won’t be contending for a division title in 09′ but hopefully they can find some sort of offense as the years progresses.

An 0-3 start would be far from ideal for Tampa Bay, but with a game against the Giants, it may be in the cards.
