My Wishes to Malaysia’s 50th Birthday

malaysia-50th-birthday

I like to write this post to express my feeling to this lovely country - Malaysia which will turn into 50th years of independence on tomorrow.

After watching a ‘Video Response to Negarakuku‘ video which put up by a Malaysian in YouTube. It is good to share with all my readers. This video is a response to Namewee’s Negarakuku video, and to make all races to understand fact. If you don’t know what I am talking about, you can watch the video from Namewee.

Here is my comment for this video:

I am fully agree with the message brought out in this video. Fighting and talking bad to each other won’t solve the problems arise so far. There are certain level of misunderstanding between the different races in Malaysia, we shouldn’t blame each other and should sit down to solve this issue.

I am not someone who can influence the Malaysia political, economic and political issue, I felt it is good if some of the more influence can know my voice (and many other) as ordinary Malaysian. Here is my wishes for Malaysia’s 50th Birthday:

  • Be united and resolve misunderstanding between the races.
  • Recognation for the hard works from the difference races by all races. This is a multi-racial community, everyone efforts should be recognised. Everyone should understand team works is better than lonely ranger.
  • Continue maintain peace and war free
  • Economic continue to growth strong.
  • Truly freedom in religion belief.
  • much much more …

I remembered someone ask this recently: Malaysia has achieved 50 years of indenpance, are you feel like celebrating Malaysia 50th year Birthday in 31st August? If not, why?

How about what is your wishes for 50th Birthday? Feel free to share your opinion here.

Chan Lilian choose to go Cameroon and other places to enjoy her Mederka holidays, wish her has a nice trip there. Don’t stuck in the traffic jam then. Don’t know whether she will bring back some “surprise” to her readers when she is back from the trip.

Papajoneh forgot to renew his car road tax, so he has to try on illegal driving on the road or else stay at home …

Blog Usahawan wrote a post about “Mederka Diri Anda” (Be Independence) and MohdIsmail.com wrote a good post about “Mederka Aku DiSini”. Both of them do gave very good suggestion to other Malaysians how to live more meaningful during this celebration.

Even the founder of Wordpress, Photo Matt also mentioned about the wordpress mederka logo.

Anyone else blog about Mederka? Do leave a comments and link back to your blog post.

Thanks & Happy Mederka.

I hope it wil be the new dawn where the real Bangsa Malaysia will be born. The Bangsa that does not discriminate its own people and give preferential treatment to others.

I hope it will be the start of whole new life for us Malaysians in redefining ourself and our identity.

Cheers dude! Happy Merdeka to you too!

    Happy Merdeka mate!
My wish is to have a true democratic Malaysia where people are appointed as leaders not because of their religion or race but because of their capability.

    Malaysia boleh!
    Sabah pun boleh bah!

    Hey Steven

    Happy Merdeka.

As much as I love this country, the political development of late has caused me to lose the passion and patriotic nationalism for Malaysia.

I just hope that after 50 years, it’s time for our country to be managed by more intelligent and transparent leaders instead of the bunch that we have now. That’s my wish for Malaysia’s 50th birthday.

My birthday’s this Sunday and I wish for a more happy, healthy and prosperous life. Greedy eh… :-)
    Cheers,

    - Melvin Ng

Melvin: I don’t know your birthday is on this Sunday. So, how are you doing to celebrate then?

Mahendran, Izad, Kay Kastum, Zamri & Ellen: Thanks for dropping by and left your wishes for Malaysia.

Donald: Well, I guess most of the Malaysians already lost the feeling like you, it’s the time for you to search back the feeling.

  10. pelf, NOT Queenie on September 2nd, 2007

Thanks for the mention, and the link love, BUT Queenie was a nickname I used a very long time ago, and right now, and in future, I’d prefer to be known as “pelf”.

  11. Steven Wong on September 3rd, 2007

    Hello Pelf,

I was looking at your blog but couldn’t find a clear write up about your name in about me page, so I thought I will just mentioned your nickname here. My apologise.

Is Pelf is your given name?

Happy Merdeka Day to you Simon Steven.

Hahaha. The way you mentioned - "he has to try on illegal driving … " makes me read my own post 2 times to see where I indicate that.

Hahaha. It’s ok. Happy Merdeka still the same. Just don’t drink and drive. :D

  13. Steven Wong on September 3rd, 2007

    Hello Papajoneh,

No you didn’t write in your blog, but make me remember many Sabahans (actually other states also) do illegal driving.

Btw, I am Steven, not Simon. :)

  14. papajoneh on September 3rd, 2007

Sorry for the misnamed Steven. :)
You’re added in the Sabahan Bloggers List already. Welcome on board. :)

Just don’t assume me do illegal driving, ok. ;)

  15. Steven Wong on September 4th, 2007

    Hi Papajoneh,

Thank for the adding … you are very effective and kind.

About the illegal driving, I am just kidding, don’t take it so seriously, ok?
