Great meeting with Joni Eareckson Tada
Last Tuesday (7th Aug) I attended the public meeting with Joni Eareckson Tada in my Church. This is an event organised by NECF in conjuction with their 25th Anniversary Celebration.

I don’t have the pictures taken on that night, but what I have here is took from the banquet dinner on monday night (courtesy from Joni and Friends website). I will put up more photos once I have that.
It’s was a good sharing meeting which Joni share her testimonial on how she continue to live with the help of God strength after the quadriplegic accident in 1967. The sharing is very inspiration and touching.
Today she is the founder and CEO of Joni and Friends, an organization aimed at accelerating Christian Ministry in the disabled community. In 2005, she was appointed to the Disabilities Advisory Committee of the US State Department. She is a best selling author and artist; She has written over 35 books, some of which are “Tell Me The Truth”, “A Victory Through Suffering”, “Life and Death Dilemma”. She has also done some extra-ordinary painting by using brush in her teeth. The picture below showing how she paint.

Her work has mainly focused on helping the church on disability-related issues. Her role as a disability advocate led to a presidential appointment to the National Council on Disability for three and half years, during which time the Americans with Disabilities Act became law.
