Spam blog comments is getting serious nowadays. My blog has already gotten 652 spam comments so far and it is still coming 1-3 everyday. The Askimet Spam plugin (come with Wordpress blog default once you installed it) did a good job. I have no worry on any spam comments manage to publish on my blog eventhough I make all the comment approval automatically.

With this plugin, you can forget about any unncessary blog comments appear in your blog even you choose the settings to approve comments automatically. With that, it will increase the chances for people to comments on your blog.

Step 1: Ticked all the box in “Usual Settings for an article” option

Step 2: Under “Before a comment appears” section, select to untick the first box only.

Setp 3: Put in the numbers as desire in “Comment Moderation” option. This will set a parameter to inform you that when there is a “suspcious spam possible” blog post with more than the number of links will held under moderation but not in the Akismet Spam filter.
